MotoBros has been awarded the contract for the Punta Gorda Speedway currently known as 4-17 Southern Speedway. We are very excited about this location as it will bring a new and different experience to motocross for SW Florida. We also have meetings scheduled with the current owners of the speedway to see if there is an opportunity to continue car racing events along with the parks new direction. More information will be provided as we progress on this venture.

any idea when MX track might be open
This will most likely be a 6 month or so construction period.

Yes it is a MotoCross track. It is located at 8655 Piper Rd, Punta Gorda, FL 33982
Hello, would the car track be open to investors who want to improve the track and keeping the racing going?
Unfortunately we have moved past that point and are moving forward with a plan that will not include car racing.

Is there any possibility that car racing on Saturday nights will resume when the track reopens?
Unfortunately we were not able to work out a direction with the previous owners to keep the car racing going so there will no longer be car racing moving forward from here. We do apologize for this bad news as we did hope this would work out.

We do not have any targeted opening date as of yet.

Any update on opening or hiring?
The closer we get to opening we will let everyone know and will be hiring about a month or so prior.

Still not sure on a date but are pushing as fast as we can. I would anticipate September at the earliest.
Hey Jason. Do you know if this facility will allow only dirt bikes? Or quads as well.
Hi Nick, the first track being competed will only accommodate dirt bikes as it is a blend between Motocross and Supercross. Phase 2 may be able to accommodate quads which will include a more wide open track. On a good note for quads we are currently working on a park that will be built for quads and side by sides. It is too early to release any details on it but are looking forward to sharing more details as this progresses.

Track is coming along and the track itself should be done by next week. We will have a lot of facility things to complete before opening.

Will the track be open at night and under lights?
Yes it will. At first it will only be during the day until we get all the lights adjusted. Then the plan is to keep the park open till 9 or 10:00 at night.

Currently not as the track is not setup for BMX
Is the old race track still standing or did you demolish?
Unfortunately we were not able to work something out with he old owners and they said the dust from the motocross track would make it impossible to still run cars so decided to remove.
